Lower Oxford Township Historical Commission (LOHC)

In 1984, the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission (PHMC) sponsored an official survey of historic properties in Lower Oxford Township (LOT).  By definition, an historic building is 50 years old or older.  In the past few years, a group of interested citizens documented by deed an additional 400 properties.  Some of the more interesting properties will be presented in these spaces in photo and text for the community.  Any questions should be directed to the LOHC Chairman, Jay Eaton, at oaa@zoominternet.net

A new Lower Oxford Area Historic Organization recently started called Lincoln Heritage Initiative (LUHI).  www.luheritage.org

The Lower Oxford Township Historic Commission is currently looking for a volunteer for a 3-year term.  If interested, please contact the Lower Oxford Township at 610-932-8150 ext. 10.

The LOHC holds its bi-monthly meetings in the LOT Township Building (220 Township Road) on the first Wednesday at 6PM. For 2018, LOHC meetings will be January 3, March 7, May 2, July 4 (this date may change), September 5, November 7.
